Scot began his early groundwork education from his parents who were married for nearly 60 years. He also developed a great deal of respect, honor and integrity from his grandfather, Colonel Leonard Farber.

Scot later earned his graduate master’s degree in International Business from the University of Texas at Dallas. Scot is also involved in commercial real estate which focuses heavily around building trust through networking and relationships.

He likes to spend his spare time exercising and taking trips to their property in the beautiful countryside of Texas. His passion for travel with his wife and kids along with a green thumb in gardening keep him grounded and content. Scot climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, and managed to raise over $26,000 for Make-A-Wish in 2021

Scot shares his passion for health and wellness with his wife. Together, they carry that passion through their daily work with families across San Antonio needing to find the right senior care community.

Cyndi is a Texas girl born and bred having lived, traveled and/or worked in all the 5 major areas of the state. She loves history, geography, writing and travel. Texas offers opportunity for all of that and more! Cyndi has also traveled to many of the other states in the U.S. and abroad to Italy. As well, she was privileged to experience life in Central America (Honduras) and Mexico during her early childhood and again during a short time in her teen years. She loves culture, language, and people!

Cyndi’s career in the senior industry began at 17 years of age during her senior year in high school with a part-time job in a nursing home serving as a “Hey, You! Go do this, that, etc.” In those days, the only training you received was whatever the RN or LVN in charge offered, on the spur of the moment and you jumped in or jumped out!

Cyndi says she never intended to follow a health care related career. Instead, she thought maybe journalism and languages, and dreamed of traveling the world to find her niche. Instead, she chose a married life with children (23 grands so far)!
Somehow, she seemed to walk consistently through opportunity doors connected with senior industry in some facet. She says: “I count my lucky stars and God’s grace that I am where I am today. I received so many amazing opportunities to learn this industry, work for amazing people in profit, non-profit, local, and state government agencies all connected in services and programs supporting the senior care needs in Texas and beyond.

Some of Cyndi’s accomplishments have been to be an integral part of the history of assisted living, home care, intergenerational programming, education and training design for dementias, health administration, grant writing and more. She brings experience in knowing how to work with people, build teams, understanding seniors, their families and helping to connect the professional community that serves the industry.

Cyndi’s Self-Description: “I’m a storyteller! I love to talk with and listen to people. What can I say?! To quote Lady Gaga: “… I was born this way!”

Inspired by a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Betsy is a mother, social worker, yoga teacher, life coach, and writer who has spent over 30 years working with herself and others to use life’s struggles as a tool for personal, familial, and community transformation.

After earning a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Social Work (MSW), Betsy began her social work career at Children’s Protective Services. She then served as the Director of a foster care program, supporting families as they balanced the responsibilities associated with caring for foster children while maintaining the licensing requirements of the state. This experience, in addition to those with her aging parents, prepared her to help families with loved ones at the other end of the age spectrum as they search for a placement to meet their loved one’s unique social, psychological, and physical needs.

A new empty nester, Betsy is committed to redefining what aging looks like. She is passionate about natural health, exercising, and squeezing as much joy out of life as possible. She considers it a gift to work with Senior Living Specialists, touring homes and facilities in San Antonio and surrounding areas and connecting with a network of people dedicated to making life as rich and fulfilling as possible for the elderly.

Carrie realized she loved being with seniors at a very young age. She gravitated to the cookie swaps and ornament exchanges at her church where most participants were seniors. When she took a position as a Marketing Director at a senior living community, she knew she was at home and in her element. Now with over 15 years in the senior living industry she strives to bring all her knowledge and resources to help families who need her. Having a grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and seeing the struggles her own family experienced was the best training she could have for her job. “My goal every day is to use the experiences, skills and knowledge God has blessed me with to help others and bring peace to their lives.”

Carrie is native to San Antonio and resides in Bulverde, where she enjoys spending time in the garden with her husband, raising her ducks and three amazing dogs. All three of her children are grown and on their own but she recently became a grandmother and now understands all the blessings that come with that title. She considers it both a priority and a necessary evil to stay physically and mentally healthy if she’s going to keep up her busy schedule. Her husband, Darryl, is a retired San Antonio Fire Fighter and a great cook. She considers herself a bit spoiled in that area. Her daughter and son-in-law are also firefighters in San Antonio so first responders have a special place in her heart.

Having been born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, with a father who was a retired Korean War veteran and a mother who worked as a private duty caregiver, I’ve always understood the nuances of senior living.

My career began in hospitality while I was in college, working at a hotel. I truly enjoyed the service culture and the opportunity to create positive experiences for our guests. Starting as a phone operator, I progressed to a sales coordinator. Eventually, my path led me to Austin, Texas, where I continued my hospitality career with Starwood Hotels.

After four years, my father’s health began to decline significantly, prompting my return to San Antonio to support him. Navigating housing and care options at that time was stressful and overwhelming as I tried to determine the best way to help my dad maintain his independence while ensuring his safety. After two decades in the service industry, I was looking for a more impactful way to contribute, something beyond providing excellent service and great vacations. This led me to leave hospitality and transition into marketing for senior living services six years ago, a decision I’ve found incredibly rewarding.

I currently live in Northeast San Antonio with my husband (Patrick) dogs, (Stella and Sasha) and my cat, and I am now caring for my mother. I also enjoy exploring thrift stores, garage sales, and flea markets, finding joy in repurposing items and giving them a new life.

I’m a recent graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word, where I majored in Marketing and Design. While my academic background is rooted in creativity and strategy, my heart has always been drawn to healthcare. Growing up immersed in various aspects of the healthcare industry, I’ve spent the past three years building a career in the field—and I truly believe it’s where I’m meant to be. I especially have a deep love and respect for our older community and am passionate about making a difference in their lives.

Originally from New Braunfels, I spent my childhood floating the river and enjoying all the charm that Gruene has to offer. I now live in San Antonio, where I’m continuing to explore the city’s culture, food, and hidden gems while being a proud parent to my rescue cat Lennox and my German Shepard Riley.

Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in Science and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has always had a passion for health, happiness and wellness which carries through to both her personal and professional life.

Rachel is involved with various activities that promote her passion for wellness by practicing martial arts, teaching yoga, and volunteering. She volunteers, along with her two sweet dogs, to visit hospice patients.

Rachel is always looking for ways to make her, her family, and others healthy and happy. She teaches yoga to underprivileged young women, as well as in a studio when she is not serving families for Senior Living Specialists in San Antonio and the Dallas office. Rachel also enjoys spending time traveling the world with her husband or at their place in the country for some down time.

Her fond memories of spending weekends with her Great Grandparents gave Rachel early insights around caring for the elderly. All of those passions guide her in the work she does for Senior Living Specialists.
